Sites Rules & Cancellation Policy

Booking is essential for any stays at The Original Hut Company for either camping or Glamping.

To Check in come into our oniste cafe, The Hub.

Check in is from 2pm for camping and 4pm for The Huts Onwards.

Check out is 11am for camping and 10am for The Huts.

2 Night minimum for weekends, 3 Night minimum for bank holidays between 1st April & 1st October.






Who’s in

Booking is exclusive to campers with an ability to respect their fellow campers and their environment.

We do not accept unsupervised youths below the age of 21.

Anti-social behaviour will not be tolerated. We reserve the right of admission.


It is with deep regret that we are unable to allow dogs to stay with us @ Quarry Farm/The Original hut Company


In our experience lack of respect for fellow campers is almost always associated with the mismanagement of alcohol. If heavy consumption is a part of your camping ideal – please do not book with us

Tent Sizes

We only allow tents up to 6m by 4m, if your tent is bigger than these dimensions please contact us.


We welcome and honour unplugged or acoustic musicians round the campfire. All instruments and noise to stop by 11pm please.

No bongos or drums. No stereos/ radios. Strictly no open air, plugged in music.


Groups of families or friends can be accommodated within the boundaries of these rules. If you require more than 5 pitches you are required to hire our Private camping area. If you are arranging a group event please contact us, we will need to make sure we have a suitable space for you all to camp together and that we can cater for your needs


Please Love the countryside as much as we do. Leave no trace in order to keep the site clean and preserve this as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty – YOU are responsible for placing your waste in the bins provided.

Please use the recycling facilities wherever possible.

We will provide a waste disposal point for you to discard toilet waste.


Campfires must be 3meters away from Tents, with tents at least 3 meters apart from each other. We ONLY allow the burning of suitable logs on campfires within the fire bins provided. We will continue to assess health and safety risks with the local fire brigade accordingly.

Logs are available for sale on site. The cutting or damaging of trees or other property and the burning of pallets and any other miscellaneous objects is not allowed.

We cannot accept responsibility for your possessions or any personal injury sustained while camping or using campfires.





Other bits

We do not allow fireworks or sky lanterns. These pose a risk of fire, scare and have fatally injured animals. Radio controlled planes or vehicles are not permitted on site. Our guests are free to walk around the farm. But please respect our standing crops, long grass and apples

Fishing in the river is allowed during the course fishing season it is necessary to hold the relevant licences. These are available from The Post Office.

Agriculture is very much the way of life in this area.

Please adhere to the Countryside code:

Please close field gates behind you. Keep to the public footpaths when not on the farm. Have respect for animals/Livestock, do not chase them. Keep to the headland (the edges of fields). Do not walk across standing crops (long grass is a crop.) and please don’t allow your children to knock the apples off the trees.
