Check-in is between 2pm and 9pm. Cars are either parked on your pitch (Gabil Meads Campsite only) or parked away from the campsite.
FIRE PITS
Each pitch comes with a fire pit, free of charge, and firewood and charcoal are available to buy from The Hub.
DOGS
Our beautiful site is home to much wildlife and is managed to protect it, so sadly no dogs are allowed (they’re welcome in our cafe, The Hub).
OFF-GRID
We’re an eco-site so the campsites are off-grid with no electric hook-up, and no wifi. Up in our onsite cafe we have charging lockers and wifi.
Campsites
The Poplar Site and Gabil Meads are our family campsites. Here we welcome individual pitches and groups of up to 5, staying in tents and small camper vans (up to 6m). These sites share a communal loo and shower block by The Hub as well as a little shepherds hut wash hut for convenience.
Private Hire
A little further away we have the private hire sites Udiam & The River Site. These are available on an exclusive hire for up to 60 guests. Each site has a communal covered area as well as its own toilet and shower facilities. They are not bookable on line so drop us a line on 01580830932 or via email info@original-huts.co.uk for more information.
All our sites have quiet policies are off grid and dog free.
Pitches & Fire pits
Pitches are allocated to best meet the needs of all those camping with us. If you have a preference or are traveling with a group please mention this in the notes section when you book.
There is a fire bowl for each pitch (they don’t have a grill on them). We sell sustainably sourced local wood, kindling and firelighters at The Hub, our onsite cafe. Fire safety regulations are strictly enforced and during extremely hot or dry weather we reserve the right to restrict permissions to use campfires.
We allow tents up to 6m x 4m. Drop us a line if your tent is bigger than this so we can allocate you the right pitch. Pup tents (small tent, not for dogs!) and gazebos can be added for an extra cost.
PRICES & CHECK-IN
We charge £24 per pitch per night + £3.50pppn adult, £2.50pppn child (3-14). Under 3s are free.
There’s a two-night minimum charge at weekends and school holidays, and three-night minimum on bank holidays.
Breaks can start and finish on any day except Saturday.
Read our full pricing information, including gazebos and pup tents (not for dogs, sorry) here.
Check-in is from 2pm to 9pm. Check-out is by 11am.
FACILITIES
Each campsite has an eco loo (not plumbed into the mains) and up by The Hub cafe is a communal shower and loo block with hot and cold water, plus washing up station which is plumbed into the mains. Everything is cleaned regularly.
Glamping
We work with two local glamping companies that are super reliable, fully insured and offer excellent service. They offer beautiful, pre-pitched, fully equipped bell tents. To book check bell tent availability with The Happy Glamper or White Dog Events then book your pitch with us and confirm with them.
If you’re after a step up from a tent, we have Shepherd’s Huts nestled in ancient woodland….
So that’s it in a nutshell, drop us a line if you would like any further information,
